Jack Gescheidt, a professional photographer since 1988, was born and raised in and around the wilds of New York City by two professional photographer parents.
One day in 2003, he discovered a huge, sinewy oak tree, which was at least 250 years old - older than America itself. This tree, which he named the Grandmother, had a powerful effect on him and inspired him to take these photos with naked volunteers draped on the trees.
