| The Balearic Islands are an archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea, near the coast of Spain. The main islands are Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, all popular tourist destinations. Many visitors are attracted to the sparkling sea, sandy beaches, endless sunshine and lively nightlife. Look beyond this and you’ll find many spots of unique beauty far from the madding crowd; atmospheric fishing villages, fragrant orange orchards, magnificent bush walks and prehistoric remains. Each of the islands has a slightly different culture, reflected in their fiestas and, particularly, gastronomy.
