Richtersveld Naturist Camping Safari.
Been to the Richtersveld National Park during June 2011 I have the pleasure to share my experience on Tripadvisor of this unforgetable trip to privacy, nature and the company of fellow friends totally naked on selected areas.
As generally known the Richtersveld got nothing except for a couple of rustic overnight huts on the route. No firewood are allowed to be cut or gathered from the park itself, fauna and flora has to be leave as is with none interference or damaging.
Nevertheless we left Cape Town early morning after breakfast and hit the West Coast road to overnight at Springbok. Still time to get the entry permits and clearance the same afternoon. The next day entering the park with our suplies of water, food and firewood we first relize the beauty and silence of mother nature surrounding us this is exquisite to experience first hand. As we set up camp on the river bank the clothes were packed away on route therefor the sun and fresh air soothing our naked bodies. You need to bring your camera, NO CLOTHES [LOL], your brand of suntan lotion sunglasses and comfortable shoes.
During this safari of 12 days we experience various kind of small animals, birds and rare vegatation. We travel early mornings and keeping alongside the river we spend our days around camp fire in naturist style and Au Natural. The tour operator sooths us with suntan lotion and because sun burn factor is extremly high we tried to keep ourselfs out of the midday sun to spare us from severe sun burn.
To quick this safari comes to an end but the memories are there and the plans to go back again as soon as possible stays in the mind.
