Naturism has long been accepted in Europe especially around the Mediterranean and as a result Europe has a wider range of naturist holiday destinations than any other continent. France probably has the widest range of good naturist resorts including one of the world's best naturist resorts, the completely self-contained nudist city of Cap D'Agde.

Spain is becoming an increasingly popular naturist tourist destination. Whilst Spain is still a staunchly catholic country, the Spanish have a remarkably relaxed attitude towards nudity on their beaches.

In Greece, located on the beautiful island of Skiathos there is Banana Beach. This is actually three beaches that attract naturists, the central on being Big Banana which is the busiest and most popular, but it is not solely naturist and also attracts suited bathers. If you want a more pure naturist area head to the extreme left of to the extreme right of Big Banana. On all of three beaches you can rent sun beds and parasols.
