On Friday, March 15th nudists resubmitted their com-plaint against the nudity ban in San Francisco to Judge Chen, as well as filing a complaint against the SFPD for illegal arrests of nudists. Attorney Christina DiEdoardo represented 5 nudist activists in a federal class action lawsuit against the City of San Francisco on the grounds that the nudity ban is unconstitutional. read more

On Saturday, March 9th the 4th annual WNBR Southern Hemisphere solidarity bike ride took place in San Francisco in brilliant sunshine with crowds gathering on Justin Herman Plaza shortly before noon. read more

On Wednesday, February 27th Gypsy Taub and friends held a nude dance performance at the Jane Warner Plaza in Castro, San Francisco. Getting arrested was another case that proved that the nudity ban imposed by the city is unconstitutional as it is also a ban on artistic expression. read more

On Sunday 17th February NakedSword.com shot a “porn parody” about the San Francisco nudity ban. Filming for the “rally” scenes took place at 18th and Castro and because this was a legitimate location film shoot nudity was allowed even under the new regulations. read more

On October 30th a protest was held outside the City Hall in San Francisco to object to District 8 Supervisor, Scott Weiner’s attempts to outlaw the naked human body in San Francisco. Currently nudity is legal in San Francisco the only limitations are sexual conduct (regardless of whether you are clothed or not) and keeping a barrier between the butt and public furniture. read more

Baker Beach in San Francisco is the home of the Nude Beach Olympics, organised by George Davis - a former nudist mayoral candidate. The games were inspired by the original Olympics which, as most people know, were performed in the nude for around 1200 years during the Hellenic and Roman Golden Ages. read more
